General Advice:

Get fishing! You may as well do it at the same time rather than buy fish off of other people.

Fishing and Survival trainers are in every zone right next to the repeatable faction quest fish NPC.

Fishing and Survival DO NOT COUNT towards you 3 profession cap.

Survival counts towards manufacturing, so now all you gathers can get those manufacturing achievements!

You can only have one food buff (excluding Birthday Cake) up at any time. This includes food from faction vendors and Survival.

Food:

Most of the survival food can be learned from the trainer, but some come from recipes found in treasure chests/supply crates/etc that are fished up.
